Osric Chau and the makers of The Akira Project have a new short you've got to see.

Last year The Akira Project amazed the net with a fan-made trailer that teased a (sadly non-existent) live action adaptation of the manga/anime Akira, that looked better than any Hollywood attempt at adapting  that legendary anime could probably ever be. In the year since it's release the trailer has received over 3 million views!  In case you missed it:

Well, now the amazingly talented people behind that project are back, this time with a new original short to be released later this year. It's called Temple and it looks AMAZING.

Like The Akira ProjectTemple stars one of my favorite people, Osric Chau, best known to wide audiences as Kevin Tran on Supernatural. Much of the same creative team is behind the camera as well including director Nguyen-Anh Nguyen. The project in completely independent, which is staggering considering the quality of the production you see on screen here. The makers are hoping to harness the power of the internet to get this project seen. I can't wait to see the full thing myself!

If you'd like to support the project you can visit their official site or like them on face book or both! And keep an eye out for the full short to be released in June!
